More Translations & a Book 2 Update
Monday, May 7, 2012 at 2:08PM In case you missed my agent tweeting this morning, The Selection is now heading to Indonesia and Hungary! Foreign sales are one of my favorite things ever, so this makes me very happy. Some people have asked for release dates for the other countries The Selection is coming to, and I'm afraid I don't have much information on that front. I do know that it is already out in France and Canada, and that the UK, New Zealand, and Australia should be getting it in August. I'll try to find out more for you guys about those.
Also! Everyone keeps asking when Book 2 will be coming your way, or if I could tell you what the name is. We are editing Book 2 right now, and it should be out in the spring of 2013. Stay tuned for an official date coming in the next few months. Also... I can't spill the name just yet. I don't think you'll have to wait too long, but just hold on a bit more!
Soon, I'll be posting some extras about The Selection on the site, and so will the rad peeps over at HarperTeen. Play lists, deleted scenes, and scenes from other POVs will be coming to keep you busy while we all wait for the next book.
And, I know I've already said this, but thanks a gazillion times over for your enthusiasm and for putting The Selection on the NYT Bestsellers List. You guys are keen.

It's great that The Selection is going on sale in other countries! I have a few people I know in the UK and I told them about the book and they really wanted to read it. :)

wanted to ask with The Selection series only be a trilogy? Just want to know how many books to expect it is amazing book
Is there a chance that The Selection is heading to Germany too? On June 1st there will be a review at our blog (my English is to bad for a full rev in English so it'll be in German). I would be very happy, if I could share some news about a translation of this lovley book into German.
Since I've read The Selection I'm visiting your side frequently and hopefully won't miss the hint.

Lol, when I told my mom that it's coming out next Spring she got mad and complained that it was too far away xD Oh well, I don't mind the wait (well, i do, but waiting is still worth it, lol!), at least we'll be getting all those nice little treats to pass the time :D Thanks Kiera!
Hello, I am writing this from France, I have just finished to read The Selection (I started to read it two hours ago). I just wanted to say that I just loved it ! I just can't wait one year to read the second book. I love dystopian books such as the Uglies Serie, Hunger Games or even Brave New World, and I will surely add The Selection to the list of my favourite books. Thank you Kiera, you are very talented.

Oh great! that's good news, Yes the selection is released in France and it's a well success! I'm very sad about the tv show but in fact i can't wait to read the sequel! :)
My daughter and I just finished the selection and LOVED it.
There was one very disappointing part . . . we can't wait for book two!!!

I absolutely loved the Selection, I couldn't put it down and read it all in one day. I should have let it stretch out for a while since the 2nd book won't be out for awhile but I just had to know what happened next. If there is any way possible for the 2nd book to be released before next spring please let it happen :) I'm dying to know what happens next.
Congratulations!! I'm from the Philippines and the book I purchased was the last copy! Just my luck! I'm getting my prom dress made just like the gorgeous gown on the cover! I finished the book in 2 and a half hours!! I could NOT put it down. I'm rooting for Maxon! He is such a sweetheart and honestly, Aspen had it coming to him. He let her go and I think America should move on. Maxon loves her. He REALLY REALLY loves her. I'm a cheerleader and I'm on Prince Maxon's team! Can't wait for book two! :)
It took me a day to finish The Selection; I couldn't put it down! When I read the last page, all I could think of was MORE, MORE, MORE. Now we all have to wait until spring 2013 :( I'm going to lose my mind.. I have terrible patience. I can't wait!! In the meantime, I think I'm going to go reread The Selection a couple more times :)
Kiera, I just have to say quickly, you are an amazing author. I actually felt like I was a part of America and it was actually me going through the Selection. Kudos to you for being able to do that and making me so attached to almost all the characters. I'm looking forward to the next one, so hurry, hurry, hurry! :)
Already out in Aus! For some reason I thought this book had been out for a while and after all the reviews I read I literally squeed when I saw it on the shelf! I blame you for my lack of productivity at work today as I could put the book down last night.
Super annoyed that there's such a long wait until the next ones but I'm sure the extras will be worth it.
I can barely wait to read your book in Hungarian. :) I'm just glad it will be published here. :) I've already read it in English and I loved it so I will need a Hungarian copy too. :) They will look fabulous next to each other. :)
And I'm also soooo excited about the deleted scenes and other stuffs... I hope there will be many Maxon-scenes! (I totally love him). :)
Hey!! I just wanted to say I just finished reading The Selection and it´s by far the best book I have ever read.. Pleasee release book 2 sooner!! I´m looking forward to reading it :) .
I'll admit, it was the cover that convinced me to buy the book (I know, I know, never judge a book by it's cover, but I was totally right in this case!). I read it in about two days and had to stay up until 2am to finish it. Such a terrible book to start during exam preparation week!
I'm from Australia, so I bought it online - hopefully we start seeing it in bookstores soon. I honestly don't think I can wait for the sequel.
firstly, i would just like to say thank you :) really, this book is most definetly in my top ten (i read alot :P) You are truely a spectacular author, definetly up there with stephanie meyer and suzanne collins :) I loved reading about America and Maxon, it was both hilarious and very sweet <3 i'm sure my friends are getting quite annoyed with me because i keep raving on about the Selection, but i did convince them all to buy/read it :) I also really hope it makes it as a TV series, it would be totally amazing! I'm quite an impacient person, but i will wait as best i can for the second book :) the longer it takes to get done, the better it will be i always say ;) Once again, thank you! XX

I was on a vacation with my dad at this spa but I'm too young to go in so I bought this book on my kindle and I've been hooked! I was instantly crushed when I found out the book is coming out NEXT YEAR! -- As you can tell I'm not a fan of waiting. :/ but the book was really great I couldn't tear myself away from it!
P.S. If there is ANY WAY POSSIBLE to have the book release sooner, a certain girl from California would be very very happy!
PLEASE tell me we can pre-order the second book or somehow pay more to get it before its supposed to come out. I finished the book within the same day. ): this is tortorous.. its june 2012.. now we have to wait spring 2013 THATS ALMOST A YEAR AWAY :'( *cries
